Prof. Adi Rachmiel is one of the pioneers to investigate the use of distraction osteogenesis in cranio-maxillo-facial both experimentally and clinically. His PhD thesis was done in this field.

Prof. Adi Rachmiel has published more than 90 papers and chapters in books and proceedings. In addition, he is an invited speaker in many national and International conferences.
