Orthodontist, Specialist in individuals with craniofacial malformations
Active member of several professional societies and associations
After his graduation from the Dental School of the University of Athens in 1995, he was a research fellow in the Department of Orthodontics and Oral Sciences at the University of Rochester, Eastman Dental Center of Rochester in New York, where he studied asymmetries in unilateral cleft lip and palate individuals.
He specialised in Orthodontics in the College of Dentistry, University of Tennessee, Memphis (Master of Dental Science). Then, he specialised in individuals with craniofacial malformations (Craniofacial Fellowship) at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. Since the year 2000, he practises exclusively Orthodontics in his private Orthodontic Center in Limassol, Cyprus.
He is the founder of the Cyprus Center for Clefts and Facial Deformities, “Medicleft” and of “Chrysallida”, the Cyprus Association of Individuals with Clefts and Other Craniofacial Anomalies. He is a fellow of the Hellenic Craniofacial Center, Athens, Greece. He is an active member of several professional societies and associations such as: Angle Society of Europe, International Society of Craniofacial Surgery, American Association of Orthodontists, European Orthodontic Society (president elected for 2021), World Federation of Orthodontists, Tweed Foundation for Orthodontic Research, American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association, Greek Association for Orthodontic Study and Research, Cyprus Dental Association, Cyprus Orthodontic Society (past president 2009-2011).
He is married to Maria and the proud father of Ellie and Vasiliki.
