Name: Andre Eckardt
Professor Eckardt graduated both in Medicine and Dentistry and received his training in Cranio-Maxillofacial surgery at Hannover Medical School, Hannover in Germany.
He has been involved in numerous clinical trials for oral cancer and acted as secretary general of the DÖSAK (German-Swiss-Austrian Study Group for head and Neck tumors) until 2007.
His clinical interest focuses on surgical and non-surgical management of oral cancer, reconstructive surgery following tumor ablation, early diagnosis and management of oral premalignancies and medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaws. Since 1997 he also served in numerous humanitarian missions as maxillofacial surgeon in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
